When God decides that mankind has become too sinful and must be wiped off the Earth, he chooses Noah (Russell Crowe), a pious man, for a great task. Noah must build an ark large enough to hold his wife (Jennifer Connelly), adopted daughter (Emma Watson), sons (Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Leo McHugh Carroll) and their wives -- plus breeding pairs of every animal. When the task is completed, Noah and his family witness God's wrath in the form of an apocalyptic flood.

Jan 1, 2018 Full Review Noah (2014) | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk The CGI animals are spectacular, the battles less so and, though none of it really makes sense, neither, some might argue, does the Bible. Rated: 2/5 Sep 6, 2017 Full Review Noah (2014) | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Jason Bailey Flavorwire It's as odd and schizophrenic a picture as you're likely to see in the focus-grouped, play-it-safe moviemaking climate of the moment, and the fact that it exists at all is sort of a (ha ha) miracle. Jun 18, 2016 Full Review Noah (2014) | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal The film questions a creator’s obligations at earthly and spiritual levels, with complications that concern masculine privilege to color the margins. "Noah" doesn’t preach to the choir. It dares the choir to keep up amid minor chords & melodic inversion. Rated: 4/5 Apr 7, 2024 Full Review Noah (2014) | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Graeme Tuckett Stuff.co.nz As an exercise in retelling the story, it'll draw more laughs and grunts of incomprehension than actual admiration. Still, Noah is a brave film – and that's always worth appreciating. Apr 18, 2023 Full Review Noah (2014) | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Ancient mythology and modern cosmology come together in the story of Genesis, told in Noah’s own words and illustrated with imagery reminiscent of Cosmos, a wedding of science and religion in a way respectful of both. Steve B Unbelievable, Incomprehensible and lackluster by any stretch of my over active imagination. Not worth 3 hours of my life and wish I could get it back. But I loved Russell Crowe in "A Beautiful Mind" and "Gladiator". Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/12/24 Full Review Audience Member He really couldn't please meFor me he could not get along in any of his proposalsThis movie makes less sense than the Bible itself, and that seems difficultstoned film.4/10 Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Michael H My personal favorite biblical film of all time that isn't named the ten commandments. From the striking visuals to the acting and the fallen angels called the watchers, this is a wonderful adaptation of the story of Noah and his construction of the ark, making you truly care about everyone involved. Next to the fountain this is Aronofsky's best film he's ever done. Just brilliant. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Bleach B A dull, confounding movie that. It's genuinely difficult to tell if the movie is going for camp. Darren Aronofsky fell off. Hard. Noah isn't even his worst movie. It's not even his SECOND worst. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review GABRIEL S This film is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is truly beautiful how they told the story of the great Noah and the great flood. Excellent cast, as well as the script, special effects and music. The Creation scene is Colossal. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/14/24 Full Review Jacob R This movie doesn't go by scripture at all. Yes there was an Arc and Noah's wife & children, Animals & a flood the rest was all made up. Taking away from the bible is a sin especially done to the masses through a movie. Director Darren Aronofsky's take on Noah was far reached. In this movie it seems his whole family despised him. Only Shem had a wife which is untrue. It wasn't just 2 of every kind that was only for the unclean, for the clean animals and birds it was by 7. There's just so much to say that was made up such as these fallen angles which looked as giant rock golems were not mentioned in the bible. This movie is so wrong & I highly recommend not wasting time watching. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
